About This Scholarship

Do you have a passion for environmental cleanup and conservation efforts as a middle, high school, or college student? If so, the Apprentice Ecologist Initiative could be your perfect opportunity! This initiative invites students to conduct their environmental stewardship project, take pictures, write an essay about it, and submit their favorite project photos and essays. By doing so, you will become an official Apprentice Ecologist, and your work will be featured on the Global Registry of Apprentice Ecologists. The top three essay authors will also be awarded $1,750 and receive a personalized crystal award. This scholarship is offered by the Nicodemus Wilderness Project, an organization that coordinates volunteer events worldwide to provide long-term environmental benefits for natural areas using community resources.
