JED’s Student Voice of Mental Health Award is an award program that recognizes undergraduate and graduate students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and advocacy in promoting mental health awareness and advocacy on their campuses. The award is sponsored by the JED Foundation, a nonprofit organization that seeks to protect the emotional health and prevent suicide among college and university students in the United States.
The award aims to acknowledge the efforts of students who have worked to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues and to increase access to mental health resources and support for their peers.
The JED Foundation also provides resources and support to colleges and universities to help them promote mental health and wellness among their students, including training for faculty and staff, guidance on developing campus policies and programs, and tools for identifying and addressing mental health concerns among students.
