A scholarship is a form of financial aid or assistance given to students in order to assist in defraying the costs of their schooling. Scholarships are frequently given out based on a student’s scholastic success, as well as on their abilities, skills, and other qualifications. A wide range of groups, including schools, universities, foundations, businesses, and other private or public entities, may grant scholarships. The scholarship’s award can range greatly in value and may pay all or part of the student’s living costs. Scholarships occasionally also come with extra perks, like access to internships, research projects, or mentorship chances.
