The Earl Warren Scholarship is given each year to rising law students whose dedication to racial justice demonstrates exceptional potential for training as civil rights and public interest lawyers in his or her honour. Those beginning their first or second year of full-time legal study at a recognised law school are considered eligible law students.
The Earl Warren Scholarship is a highly competitive scholarship program offered by the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund (LDF) in honor of the late Supreme Court Chief Justice Earl Warren. The scholarship program aims to identify and support outstanding law students who are committed to social justice and civil rights work.
The scholarship provides financial assistance of up to $10,000 per year for three years to law students who are entering their first year of law school. In addition to financial support, the scholarship also offers a range of professional development opportunities, such as mentorship, networking, and internships.
