The MGA Foundation Women’s Scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic achievement (a minimum GPA of 3.2), ongoing financial need, and moral character as shown through extra curricular and extracurricular activities. Candidates must show an interest or involvement in golf, even though mastery of the sport is not a requirement. Prior to the awarding of each year’s scholarships, each recipient will need to demonstrate that they have met these requirements. The directors of the foundation will assess any failure to uphold these standards and procedures, which could result in the forfeiture of scholarship money.
High school senior girls who plan to register in college the year they submit this application can apply for one of four $3,000 scholarships, each of which is renewable for four years (up to $12,000 total). Candidates must be citizens of the United States and residents of Minnesota. Tuition, books, lodging, and board can all be paid for with scholarship money. A scholarship recipient must be enrolled at an authorised institution or university full-time and must maintain that enrollment.
