The Mississippi Tuition Assistance Grant (MTAG) is a scholarship program offered by the state of Mississippi to provide financial assistance to eligible Mississippi residents who demonstrate financial need and are pursuing an undergraduate degree at an eligible Mississippi college or university.
It provides up to $500 per academic year for up to four years of undergraduate study. Recipients of the scholarship must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 and remain enrolled as full-time students to continue receiving the scholarship.
To apply for the MTAG scholarship, interested applicants should complete the FAFSA and list Mississippi as their state of residence. Students who meet the eligibility requirements will automatically be considered for the scholarship. However, it is recommended that applicants contact the financial aid office at their institution to verify their eligibility and receive information on the application process.
