The Dr. Lorraine G. Spranzo Memorial Scholarship is a scholarship awarded by the American Association of University Women (AAUW) to support women pursuing graduate degrees in the fields of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM). The scholarship is named in honor of Dr. Lorraine G. Spranzo, a pioneering scientist and AAUW member.
The scholarship provides financial assistance to women who are enrolled or accepted into a graduate program in a STEM field at an accredited U.S. institution. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, and they must have earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
The Dr. Lorraine G. Spranzo Memorial Scholarship provides up to $5,000 in financial assistance to cover tuition, fees, and other educational expenses. The scholarship may be used for the academic year in which it is awarded.
