The National Honor Society Scholarship is a program offered by the National Honor Society (NHS) to recognize and support outstanding high school students who have demonstrated excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Each year, the NHS awards multiple scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are active members in good standing of their school’s NHS chapter. The scholarships are merit-based and range from $3,200 to $25,000, with a total of $2 million awarded annually.
Recipients of the National Honor Society Scholarship can use the funds to help pay for tuition, fees, books, and other educational expenses at any accredited college or university in the United States. The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years, provided that the student maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0 and continues to meet the criteria for membership in the NHS.
