The Bezos Scholars Program is a leadership development program for high school juniors and educators, funded by the Bezos Family Foundation. The program brings together a diverse group of student leaders and educators from across the United States and around the world to collaborate and create positive change in their communities.
The program begins with a week-long leadership summit at the Aspen Institute in Aspen, Colorado, where scholars participate in seminars, workshops, and team-building exercises. The summit is led by experts in a variety of fields, including leadership, entrepreneurship, and community engagement. During the summit, scholars also have the opportunity to meet and interact with successful entrepreneurs, business leaders, and community activists.
These projects are designed to address a specific community issue or need, and can range from creating a community garden to developing a mentoring program for at-risk youth.
