UNCF Chevron Corporate Scholars is a program that provides financial support to undergraduate students who are pursuing degrees in engineering, business, and other related fields. The program is funded by Chevron, a multinational energy corporation, and administered by the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), a nonprofit organization that supports historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and minority students.
The program provides scholarships of up to $5,000 per academic year to selected students who meet the eligibility criteria. To be eligible, students must be enrolled full-time in a four-year accredited college or university, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, major in a field related to Chevron’s business, and demonstrate financial need.
In addition to financial support, the program provides recipients with professional development opportunities such as networking events, mentorship, and internships at Chevron. The program aims to increase the representation of underrepresented minority groups in the fields of engineering and business and support their career development.
