Young individuals with hemoglobinopathies are encouraged to pursue further education through the SCTPN Undergraduate Scholarships, which are committed to academic success. Students admitted into a recognised two-year or four-year college or university are given the scholarship every other year. Recipients of scholarships may reapply each year for help.
All of the following requirements must be satisfied to be eligible for a scholarship: fill out the scholarship application in a clear and precise manner; produce a certificate of verification from your doctor attesting to your diagnosis of Thalassemia and sickle cell disease; a 500-word essay responding to the offered questions, a copy of the college acceptance letter, two letters of recommendation from faculty and one letter from a non-family member, and a willingness to take part in the annual Sickle Cell Walk
