About This Scholarship

The Raytheon’s Intelligence & Space Underrepresented Minorities in Cybersecurity Scholarship represents one of the most promising initiatives designed to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the worldwide workforce responsible for securing our world from cyber threats. Developed in collaboration with Raytheon Technologies and the Center for Cyber Safety and Education (non-profit organization affiliated with (ISC)²), the initiative is designed to offer scholarships to minority students that historically struggled to pursue STEM education.

This scholarship program designed to support students from underrepresented minority groups who are pursuing a degree in cybersecurity or a related field. The scholarship is awarded by Raytheon Technologies, a multinational aerospace and defense company that provides advanced technologies and services to industries including defense, civil government, and cybersecurity.

The scholarship is aimed at promoting diversity in the cybersecurity field by providing financial assistance to students who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in their field of study. The program provides a scholarship of up to $10,000 to cover tuition fees, textbooks, and other educational expenses for the academic year. Candidates are evaluated based on three primary pillars: passion, merit, and financial need.

In addition to the financial support, scholarship recipients will also have access to a mentorship program and internship opportunities with Raytheon Technologies, which will provide them with valuable experience and exposure to the cybersecurity industry.
