The Samantha Jennings-Jones Memorial Scholarship is a scholarship aimed at recognizing the work of a notable public servant. In contrast to numerous regional scholarships, the program accepts applications from individuals worldwide regardless of their level of education. Students participating in two-year associate programs, as well as in bachelor’s, master’s, and even doctorate studies, may apply for this grant worth $5,000, which will help pay tuition fees and purchase required books. The scholarship acknowledges the contribution of Samantha Jennings-Jones in developing the National Cybersecurity Strategy.
The application period For Samantha Jennings-Jones Memorial Scholarship begins in mid-January and ends in mid-March annually. As such, the 2026 application process is now closed, while the next period when individuals can apply will be in the 2027 cycle. The process is rigorous, and the candidates need to show academic excellence by presenting a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Besides the GPA, the evaluation committee looks for the candidate’s passion for the industry and his/her ability to shape the future of international cyber security. Candidates can only submit their applications through a central platform that handles various scholarships offered by the Center.
In addition, the scholars have a chance to take the Certified in Cybersecurity certification without paying any fee, thus adding another feather in their cap. The scholarships are paid directly into the institution where the individual studies in July.
