The Dell Scholars program operates under the direction of a highly select committee of professionals from academia, industry, and the higher education community. Every year, the Dell Foundation selects pre-approved applicants for funding based on academic excellence and community service.

What Is Dell Scholarship?

The scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors planning to enroll full-time in an accredited higher education institution in the United States. Dell Scholars are selected based on academic performance, demonstrated grit and perseverance, leadership potential, and financial need. In addition to financial support, Dell Scholars also receive various resources and support services to help them succeed in college. This includes access to a dedicated support team, a laptop, textbook credits, and ongoing mentorship and networking opportunities. The application for the scholarship is online. The online application process takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. You will first specify the school you plan to attend and then answer several questions about your background, academic performance, extracurricular activities, and community involvement. The Dell Scholars selection committee reviews the application and makes its final selection the following year.
