Eligibility Criteria For Florida State University Vires Scholarship

The Florida State University Vires Scholarship is a scholarship program that provides financial assistance to incoming freshmen who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and community service.

To be eligible for the Vires Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Be an incoming freshman student at Florida State University
  • Have a minimum high school GPA of 4.0 (weighted)
  • Have a minimum SAT score of 1400 or ACT score of 31 and must demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and a record of community service

In addition to meeting the above eligibility criteria, applicants for the Vires Scholarship are required to submit a completed application, including an essay, resume, and two letters of recommendation. Finalists for the scholarship will be invited to participate in an interview with the selection committee.

The Vires Scholarship provides full tuition, room and board, a $1,000 annual book allowance, and a $1,500 annual stipend for other educational expenses.
