Eligibility Criteria For Valparaiso University Lutheran Leadership Award

The Valparaiso University Lutheran Leadership Award is a merit-based scholarship for incoming freshmen who have demonstrated exceptional leadership in their church and community. The eligibility criteria for the Lutheran Leadership Award include:

  • All the applicants must be high school seniors who have applied for admission to Valparaiso University.
  • Applicants must be active members of a Lutheran church and they must demonstrate exceptional leadership in their church and community, as evidenced by leadership positions, volunteer work, and other achievements.
  • Applicants must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and must complete the scholarship application and submit a resume, personal statement, and two letters of recommendation.

In addition to the above criteria, the Lutheran Leadership Award selection committee may also take into account factors such as financial need, diversity, and geographic location in the selection process.
