A number of Distinguished Raven FAC Memorial Scholarships are awarded each year to eligible descendants (such as natural or adopted children, nephews, nieces, grandchildren, etc.) or legal wards of Lao or Lao-Hmong people who defended the Kingdom of Laos between 1960 and 1975 by serving in the Royal Laotian Military or Hmong forces. The Edgar Allan Poe Literary Society (EAPLS) is in charge of sponsoring and managing this scholarship programme.
