About This Scholarship

The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) Distinguished Presidential Scholarship is a highly prestigious scholarship awarded to incoming freshmen who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, leadership skills, and community involvement. The scholarship covers full tuition and fees, room and board, and provides a stipend for books and other expenses. Additionally, recipients of the Distinguished Presidential Scholarship are provided with unique opportunities to engage with faculty and other high-achieving students at UTSA, participate in specialized academic and leadership programs, and receive mentorship and support throughout their academic career.

Recipients of the Distinguished Presidential Scholarship are expected to maintain a high level of academic performance and to participate in leadership and service activities while enrolled at UTSA. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years, provided the recipient continues to meet the eligibility criteria and maintains a high level of academic performance.

Eligibility Criteria For University of Texas- San Antonio Distinguished Presidential Scholarship

The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) Distinguished Presidential Scholarship is a highly competitive, merit-based scholarship awarded to incoming freshmen based on their academic achievements. The eligibility criteria for the Distinguished Presidential Scholarship include:

  • Applicants must be incoming freshmen enrolling at UTSA in the fall semester.
  • Applicants must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Applicants must have a minimum SAT score of 1350 (or ACT composite score of 29).
  • Applicants must have demonstrated leadership and service in their communities or schools.

In addition to the above criteria, the Distinguished Presidential Scholarship may also take into account factors such as financial need, diversity, and geographic location in the selection process.
