About This Scholarship

Each year, they offer a $2,000 A. Harry Passow Classroom Teacher Scholarship to a K–12 educator who has excelled in working with gifted children and wishes to advance their teaching career.The A. Harry Passow Classroom Teacher Scholarship is a scholarship program offered by the Mensa Education and Research Foundation. This scholarship is designed to support teachers who are pursuing graduate-level coursework in fields related to gifted education.

The scholarship provides financial assistance of up to $2,500 to help cover tuition, fees, books, and other educational expenses. The scholarship is awarded annually, and the application deadline is typically in January.

For educators in grades K–12 who have demonstrated excellence in working with gifted students, the capacity to meet their requirements, and a dedication to improving their teaching abilities. Eligibility Criteria For A Harry Passow Classroom Teacher Scholarship

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • All the applicants must be a current classroom teacher at any grade level from kindergarten through 12th grade to apply for this scholarship.
  • All the applicants must be enrolled in a graduate-level program in an accredited institution of higher learning in the United States for this scholarship.
  • All the applicants must be pursuing coursework in gifted education, or have a clearly stated goal to pursue a career in gifted education.
