About This Scholarship

If you’re a sophomore or junior in high school and interested in joining an essay competition, consider applying for the Achievement Awards in Writing. This contest is available to nominated students submitting creative or argumentative writing pieces. The National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), a non-profit professional organization of educators, hosts this contest to acknowledge students’ talents and accomplishments. The NCTE is dedicated to enhancing English and language arts teaching and learning at all educational levels. Every year, several winners are selected and awarded a certificate. Additionally, those who win the “First Class award” will display their names and their schools’ names on the NCTE website.
