About This Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria For AICPA Scholarship for Minority Accounting Students

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Scholarship for Minority Accounting Students is offered to support ethnic minority students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or an accounting-related major. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled in an accounting or accounting-related degree program at an accredited U.S. college or university.
  • Be an ethnic minority student, as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau (Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, Native American or Alaska Native, or Asian American or Pacific Islander).
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to pursuing a career in accounting or related field.
  • Submit a completed application, including transcripts, a personal statement, letters of recommendation, and documentation of eligibility.
