Eligibility Criteria For Allegheny Mountain Section Air & Waste Management Association Undergraduate Scholarship

The Allegheny Mountain Section Air & Waste Management Association (AMS-AWMA) Undergraduate Scholarship is a scholarship program designed to support undergraduate students who are pursuing a degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the below written criteria:

  • Enrollment: Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in a college or university located in the AMS-AWMA geographic area, which includes western Pennsylvania, western Maryland, and West Virginia.
  • Major: Applicants must be pursuing a degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Citizenship: Applicants must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
  • Extracurricular activities: Applicants must demonstrate involvement in extracurricular activities related to the environment, such as internships, volunteer work, or environmental clubs.
  • Essay: Applicants must submit a personal statement essay that describes their career goals, reasons for pursuing a degree in environmental science or engineering, and their involvement in environmental activities.
