The American Legion, also referred to as the Legion, is a group of American military veterans with its main office in Indianapolis, Indiana. It is made up of some local postings at the state, U.S. territory, and abroad department levels. The American Expeditionary Forces (A. E. F.) created the organisation on March 15, 1919, in Paris, France.
