The ARFORA Helen Muntean Education Scholarship for Women is a scholarship program that is sponsored by the American Romanian Orthodox Youth (ARFORA) organization. Scholarships are given to women of The Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America who have finished their first year of a baccalaureate programme at an accredited college or university (enrolled in the School of Education with the intention of becoming teachers) based on academic achievement, character, worthiness, and participation in religious life. Prior to applying, the candidate must have been a communicant member—or the daughter of a communicant member—of a Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America church or mission for at least a year.
