Eligibility Criteria For Asian-American Architects and Engineers Foundation Scholarship

The Asian-American Architects and Engineers Foundation Scholarship is a scholarship program that is available to Asian American students who are pursuing a degree in architecture, engineering, or construction-related fields. To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Citizenship: Applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or foreign students who are studying at an accredited institution in the United States.
  • Ethnicity: Applicants must be of Asian heritage, including East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, or the Pacific Islands.
  • Enrollment: Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in architecture, engineering, or construction-related fields at the time of application.
  • Academic Achievement: Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and  must demonstrate involvement in extracurricular activities, community service, and leadership.
  • Recommendation Letters: Applicants must submit at least two letters of recommendation from individuals who can attest to the applicant’s character, academic performance, and potential for success in their chosen field.
  • Essay: Applicants must submit an essay describing their academic and career goals, as well as their commitment to the Asian American community and promoting diversity in their field.
