About This Scholarship

The “Berry L. Carey, M.D. Scholarship” is a scholarship programme proudly offered by the Catholic Community Foundation of South-west Florida. It was made possible by Dr Barry Carey’s and his devoted family’s Catholic legacy. One renewable $400 scholarship will be made available to a graduating senior from a Catholic school, private school, home school, or public school in the Diocese of Venice Counties who will be the first person in their family to attend college or university thanks to the Careys’ kind donation to the Foundation.

Applicants for scholarships must meet the following criteria: senior in high school currently enrolled in a private, public, private, or home school within the Diocese of Venice; completing an online application and determining one’s financial needs, etc.

Eligibility Criteria For Barry L. Carey M.D. Scholarship
