About This Scholarship

The BBB Student of Integrity Scholarship is an annual program that provides financial assistance to high school seniors in Western Virginia who have demonstrated outstanding ethical behavior and personal integrity in their academic, professional, and personal lives. The scholarship is sponsored by the Better Business Bureau Serving Western Virginia, which is committed to promoting ethical business practices and consumer protection in the region.

The scholarship awards up to $1,000 to eligible students who are planning to attend an accredited college or university in the fall. The BBB Student of Integrity Scholarship is a highly competitive program, with a limited number of scholarships awarded each year. However, for eligible applicants, the program provides a valuable opportunity to receive financial assistance while pursuing a college education. Additionally, participation in the program helps to promote ethical behavior and personal integrity among young people in Western Virginia.

Eligibility Criteria For BBB Student of Integrity Scholarship – Western VA

The BBB Student of Integrity Scholarship in Western Virginia is awarded annually to high school seniors who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and integrity. The eligibility criteria for this scholarship are as follows:

  • Be a current high school senior in one of the following counties in Western Virginia: Alleghany, Bath, Botetourt, Craig, Floyd, Franklin, Giles, Montgomery, Pulaski, Roanoke, Rockbridge, or Wythe.
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) and should demonstrate leadership and integrity through extracurricular activities, community involvement, and/or other accomplishments.
  • Submit an application form, official high school transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and a personal essay and must plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited U.S. college or university in the fall following graduation.

The scholarship provides a one-time award of $2,500 to help cover the cost of tuition, fees, books, and other educational expenses. In addition, the recipient is invited to attend the BBB’s Annual Torch Awards ceremony to be recognized for their achievement.
