About This Scholarship

The Blacks at Microsoft Scholarship is a program created by Microsoft Corporation to support and empower black and African American students pursuing undergraduate studies in technology-related fields. Eligibility Criteria For Blacks at Microsoft Scholarship

The Blacks at Microsoft Scholarship is a program that provides financial assistance to black and African American students who are pursuing higher education in the fields of technology, engineering, and related disciplines. To be eligible for the BAM Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale, and be able to provide an official high school transcript as proof of their academic achievement.
  • Must demonstrate leadership potential through participation in extracurricular activities, volunteer work, or other community service initiatives.
  • Must plan to pursue a degree in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, or math) or a related discipline.
  • Must have financial need, as determined by the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or other financial aid application.
  • Must be able to provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or community leader who can attest to the applicant’s character, academic achievement, and leadership potential.
