About This Scholarship

The Boise State Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Award is a scholarship program offered by Boise State University, located in Boise, Idaho. The scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to out-of-state students who are residents of a WUE state and are interested in attending Boise State University.

The WUE program is a consortium of colleges and universities in western states that offer reduced tuition rates to students who are residents of those states. Under the WUE program, students pay no more than 150% of the in-state tuition rate.

The scholarship awards $2,500 per year, renewable for up to four years, to cover tuition and fees. To maintain the scholarship, recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and continue to be enrolled full-time. There is no separate application for the scholarship, and eligible applicants will automatically be considered for the award.

Eligibility Criteria For Boise State WUE Award

The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Award at Boise State University provides a reduced tuition rate for non-resident students from eligible western states. The eligibility criteria for the WUE Award at Boise State University include the following:

  • Applicants should be legal residents of one of the following states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming.
  • Applicants must be admitted to Boise State University as an undergraduate student.
  • Applicants must enroll as a full-time student, taking at least 12 credit hours per semester.
  • Applicants must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 and they should must meet all other Boise State University admission requirements and deadlines.

The WUE Award provides a reduced tuition rate that is approximately 150% of the in-state tuition rate at Boise State University. Students who meet the eligibility criteria will automatically be considered for the WUE Award upon admission to the university.
