About This Scholarship

If you’re a high school senior in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, or Canada, and you work at Burger King or have a family member who does, you may be eligible to apply for the Burger King Scholars Program. This scholarship is intended for students planning to attend college full-time in the upcoming academic year and is funded by the Burger King Foundation. This non-profit organization strives to create brighter futures by empowering individuals through education and emergency relief. Award amounts ranging from $1,000 to $50,000 will be given to successful applicants to assist them in covering the costs of their college education. This scholarship is open to students who are U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and those who are working toward citizenship. Applicants must possess a minimum 3.0-grade point average each semester they are enrolled in high school, maintain full-time status, and demonstrate financial need.

Eligibility Criteria For Burger King Scholars Program

  • High School Senior: Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who are about to enter college full-time for the upcoming academic year.
  • Residency: Applicants must be legal residents of the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, or Canada.
  • Employment: Applicants must be employees of Burger King or have a parent or legal guardian who works for the company. The employee must have worked for at least six months before application submission. 
  • Academic Performance: Applicants must have a cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Students attending a school with a different grading system must provide an explanation or conversion chart.
  • Financial Need: Applicants must demonstrate financial need by submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • College Enrollment: Applicants must plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • Citizenship: Applicants must be citizens or permanent United States or Canada residents.
