About This Scholarship

The CBC Spouses Performing Arts Scholarship is an annual scholarship awarded by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) to African American or Black students who are pursuing a degree in the performing arts, including music, theater, and dance. Eligibility Criteria For CBC Spouses Performing Arts Scholarship

The CBC Spouses Performing Arts Scholarship is a program offered by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation that provides financial assistance to African-American or Black students who are pursuing a degree in the performing arts. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • All the applicants must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  • Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university.
  • Be pursuing a degree in the performing arts, such as dance, music, theater, or opera.
  • Demonstrate financial need, which is determined based on the applicant’s FAFSA or other financial aid application.

The scholarship provides up to $3,000 to cover tuition, fees, books, and other educational expenses. Recipients of the scholarship are also invited to attend the CBCF Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C., where they will be recognized at a special event.
