About This Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria For Charlotte Pride Scholarship Program

The Charlotte Pride Scholarship Program is open to LGBTQ+ and ally students in the Charlotte region who plan to pursue post-secondary education. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • All the applicants must be a graduating high school senior or currently enrolled in a college, university, trade school, or vocational school.
  • All the applicants must be a resident of one of the following North Carolina counties: Cabarrus, Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Stanly, or Union.
  • Must identify as LGBTQ+ or be an ally of the LGBTQ+ community.
  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) and demonstrate a commitment to activism and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community.
  • All the applicants must demonstrate financial need.
  • Applicants are required to apply form, official transcripts, a personal statement, and two letters of recommendation.
