About This Scholarship

The CIA Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships are scholarship programs offered by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The scholarships are designed to support undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in pursuing careers in national security and intelligence.

Scholarship Initiatives Undergraduate and graduate students can apply for grants from the CIA based on their financial need. The recipients of these scholarships will not only receive a salary throughout the year in addition to up to $18,000–$25,000 in tuition aid each calendar year.

The scholarship provides financial support to cover tuition and fees, as well as a stipend to cover living expenses. Scholarship recipients are also offered the opportunity to work at the CIA during the summer and, upon graduation, to work as full-time employees at the agency.

Eligibility Criteria For CIA Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) offers several undergraduate and graduate scholarships to support students who are interested in pursuing careers in the intelligence community. The eligibility criteria for these scholarships vary depending on the specific scholarship, but some common criteria are:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be enrolled in or planning to enroll in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in the United States
  • Must be pursuing a degree in a field related to national security, such as international relations, political science, computer science, engineering, or foreign languages
  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and must demonstrate financial need
  • In addition to these criteria, some scholarships may also have additional requirements, such as a minimum SAT or ACT score, a demonstrated interest in the intelligence community, or a commitment to working for the CIA after graduation.

Applicants for these scholarships are typically required to submit a completed application form, official transcripts, letters of recommendation, and essays or personal statements as part of the application process.
