About This Scholarship

The award program’s primary goal is to encourage youth-focused marksmanship instruction and firearm safety awareness. Every young person in America should be able to take part in programmes teaching firearm safety and marksmanship, according to the organization’s vision. Seniors in high school who participate in competitive marksmanship are encouraged to apply to CMP.

All needed documentation must be included in a full application. A certified copy of the applicant’s high school transcript, a letter of nomination or recommendation from the coach, instructor, or adult leader, a letter from the applicant outlining the reasons for applying and how the scholarship will assist in achieving the applicant’s goals, as well as additional proof of marksmanship activity are required in addition to the completed application form.

Eligibility Criteria For CMP Scholarship

Here are some general factors that may be considered for participation:

  • Age: Some firearm safety programs have age restrictions and may require participants to be a certain age to participate. The minimum age requirement can vary depending on the program and the specific type of training involved.
  • Legal requirements: Participants may need to comply with legal requirements related to firearms and possess the necessary permits, licenses, or certifications if applicable. These requirements can vary depending on the jurisdiction and the specific nature of the program.

This may include being in good mental health, not having any physical disabilities or conditions that may impair safe firearm handling, and being able to follow instructions.
