About This Scholarship

The College Scholar Award at the College of Wooster is a merit-based scholarship program that is awarded to incoming undergraduate students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and intellectual curiosity.  The scholarship is awarded based on a holistic review of each applicant’s academic record, including their high school coursework, grades, and test scores, as well as their intellectual curiosity and potential for academic success at the College of Wooster. The College Scholar Award covers the full cost of tuition, room and board, and other educational expenses, for up to four years. Scholars also receive additional funding for research, internships, study abroad, and other educational experiences, as well as personalized advising and mentoring from faculty members and access to a network of distinguished alumni.

Eligibility Criteria For College of Wooster College Scholar Award

The College of Wooster College Scholar Award is a highly selective merit-based scholarship awarded to incoming first-year students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and leadership potential.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a high school senior who has applied for admission to The College of Wooster as a first-year student.
  • Demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, including a strong academic record, rigorous coursework, and standardized test scores.
  • Exhibit exceptional leadership potential, as demonstrated through extracurricular activities, community service, and other leadership experiences.
