It is with pleasure that Coloradans for Nebraska announces the opening of the scholarship application process. This year, we will give out eight scholarships at $2,000 each for the upcoming academic school year (six to incoming freshmen and two to returning students). Applicants must have graduated from a Colorado high school and be enrolled at one of the University of Nebraska’s campuses in order to be considered.
Scholarships are given to new students by the admissions office. Scholarships for returning students and need-based scholarships are given out by the financial aid office. The Board of Trustees Scholarship, Governor’s Opportunity Award, and Davis-Chambers Student Scholarship are three system-wide awards provided by the Nebraska State College System.
If the following requirements are met, this scholarship pledge is renewable for up to four years, subject to continuous support from the state of Nebraska. This commitment will be renewed annually as long as the recipient maintains a cumulative grade point average of 2.500.
