About This Scholarship

These were established by benefactors who saw the value of aiding students in achieving their educational objectives both now and in the future. The criteria were chosen by those who created the funds based on their personal preferences and community needs.The diversity of scholarships available is a reflection of the contributors and communities that CFNIL serves. 

The bulk of awards go to graduating high school seniors from Boone, Ogle, Stephenson, and Winnebago Counties as well as current college students. Scholarships are available based on a range of criteria, including field of study, financial need, academic accomplishment, involvement in extracurricular activities, and many others. For non-traditional, minority, and first-generation college students, scholarships are available. There are around 20 scholarships.
