About This Scholarship

Are you a United States citizen currently enrolled in an advanced-level high school or college course? If so, consider applying for the Courage to Grow scholarship! A student is awarded the scholarship for $500 per month if they submit the most well-reasoned essay (with a word limit of no more than 250) explaining why they should be given the scholarship. The last day of the month is the submission cutoff for the scholarship because it is awarded monthly. Hence, even if you don’t succeed the first time, you should give it another shot! The award was established to assist students in fulfilling their aspirations of attending college by removing some of the financial burdens associated with such an endeavor. We strongly encourage you to apply if you are a high school senior who plans to attend college or a college student who already needs financial assistance.

Eligibility Criteria For Courage to Grow Scholarship

  • U.S. Citizenship: Applicants must be citizens of the United States.
  • High School Upperclassman or Current College Student: The scholarship is open to upper-level high school students and current college students. This means you must either be a junior or senior in high school or currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a college or university.
  • Financial Need: The scholarship was established to help students who need financial assistance. Therefore, applicants should be able to demonstrate that they require financial aid to attend college.
  • Essay Submission Guidelines: To apply for the Courage to Grow scholarship, you must submit an essay of at most 250 words. The essay should address why you should be awarded the scholarship and what you hope to accomplish with the financial assistance provided.
  • Encouragement to Apply: Even if you do not win the scholarship on your first attempt, you are encouraged to reapply in subsequent months. The scholarship is intended to help students achieve their college goals by alleviating financial concerns. So, if you are a high school upperclassman or a college student needing financial aid, we strongly encourage you to apply.
