About This Scholarship

Every year, the CXR Foundation is pleased to give a $10,000 scholarship to industry-related studies and recruiting professionals or family members residing in the United States. Each year, one recipient of the prize is chosen from among hundreds of applicants after a total of twelve interviews conducted by our volunteer board and scholarship committee members.

The CXR Foundation will give one $10,000 scholarship each year to a U.S. citizen who is related to someone in the entertainment business and who is currently enrolled in or plans to enrol in an authorised U.S. college or university. Any individual who holds a position in corporate recruiting, human resources, talent acquisition, talent management, or as a vendor in any of those fields is considered to be working in the talent industry.

Eligibility Criteria For CXR Foundation Scholarship

Here are some common factors that are often considered:

  • Field of Study: Industry-related scholarships are typically designed for students pursuing education in a specific field or industry. The scholarship may be limited to fields such as engineering, computer science, healthcare, business, agriculture, or any other industry-specific area. Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a relevant program of study.
  • Extracurricular Activities and Leadership: In addition to academic performance, involvement in extracurricular activities related to the industry or demonstrating leadership skills can be valued. Participation in industry-related clubs, organizations, internships, or relevant work experience can strengthen an applicant’s profile.
  • Recommendations: Letters of recommendation from teachers, mentors, industry professionals, or employers who can speak to an applicant’s abilities, passion, and potential in the industry can be an important factor in the selection process.
  • Financial Need: Some industry-related scholarships may consider an applicant’s financial need as part of the eligibility criteria. Applicants may be required to provide information about their family’s income, financial circumstances, or other related documentation.
  • Citizenship or Residency: Certain scholarships may have restrictions based on citizenship or residency requirements. They may be limited to students from specific regions, countries, or communities to support individuals within a particular area or promote diversity within the industry.
