About This Scholarship

The Lincoln Community Foundation is a driving force working to improve our community’s future. Making grants to support charitable endeavours and assisting donors in making philanthropic contributions to local nonprofit organisations are only two aspects of improving our city. More than 90 scholarship funds benefiting students in Nebraska have been established by kind donors to the Lincoln Community Foundation.

The Dale E. Siefkes Memorial Scholarship is open to junior or senior-level college students who plan to major in education during the forthcoming academic year at a Nebraska college. Students attending smaller 4-year colleges in Nebraska will be given preference. The applicant must show financial necessity and have at least a 3.8 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale. The first page of the FAFSA report as well as the applicant’s transcript must be sent with the application.
