  • Applicants must be a current or incoming student at an AACC-member community college in the United States.
  • Applicants must have completed at least 12 credits of coursework at the community college and be enrolled in at least 6 credits in the semester in which the scholarship is awarded.
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Applicants must have experienced significant adversity such as a personal illness or disability, family crisis, or financial hardship that has impacted their ability to pursue higher education.
  • Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to community service, leadership, and/or extracurricular activities despite the adversity they have faced.
  • Applicants must submit an essay or video response to a prompt related to their personal story, the challenges they have overcome, and their future goals.
