Eligibility Criteria For Dayle Wood Memorial Scholarship

Here are some general eligibility criteria that may apply:

  • Enrollment in a Graduate Program: Scholarships for graduate students typically require that applicants be enrolled or planning to enroll in a graduate program at an eligible institution in Nebraska. This can include master’s degrees, doctoral programs, or professional degrees.
  • Academic Performance: Many scholarships consider academic achievement as an important criterion. Applicants may need to meet a minimum GPA requirement and provide academic transcripts from their undergraduate or previous graduate studies. Some scholarships may also require submission of standardized test scores, such as the GRE (Graduate Record Examination) or GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test), depending on the program of study.
  • Field of Study: Some scholarships may be specific to particular fields of study or disciplines. These scholarships aim to support students pursuing graduate studies in specific areas, such as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), social sciences, humanities, or professional fields.
  • Residency: Some scholarships may have residency requirements, such as being a resident of Nebraska or attending a Nebraska institution. Financial Need: Financial need may be a factor in some scholarships for graduate students. Applicants may be required to submit financial information, such as the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), to determine eligibility based on financial need.
  • Personal Statement or Essay: Scholarships often require applicants to submit a personal statement or essay as part of the application. This allows candidates to showcase their academic and career goals, research interests, and how the scholarship would support their graduate studies.
