About This Scholarship

Are you a student who plans to attend college or is already enrolled and a member of DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America)? If this is the case, consider applying for the DECA Student Scholarships! Current members of DECA who are presently enrolled in or plan to enroll in an undergraduate program are eligible to apply for the grant. Scholarships like this one are made available by Distributive Education Clubs of America, a non-profit organization for career and technical student organizations (DECA). DECA primarily fosters future leaders and professionals in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. As a result, they give out scholarships annually with a maximum value of $5,000 to support the selected applicants’ educational and professional ambitions. We strongly encourage you to apply for this scholarship if you are a member of DECA and seeking a way to pay for your undergraduate education. Suppose you are interested in joining DECA but are not presently a member. In that case, you can ask your school counselor whether your institution has a DECA branch. You can apply to the chapter advisor if it does!

Eligibility Criteria For DECA Student Scholarships

DECA Membership: To be eligible for DECA scholarships, you must be a current organization member. You must be active in your school’s DECA chapter and have paid your membership dues for the current school year.

Academic Requirements: DECA scholarships typically require a minimum GPA (Grade Point Average) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. However, some scholarships may have higher or lower GPA requirements. You may also need to submit your SAT or ACT scores.

Leadership Experience: DECA emphasizes leadership development, and many scholarships consider your leadership experience in the organization. You may need to provide evidence of your involvement in DECA leadership activities, such as serving as a chapter officer or participating in DECA’s Emerging Leader Series.
