Dr. Juan Andrade Jr. Scholarship for Young Hispanic Leaders

The Dr. Juan Andrade Jr. Scholarship for Young Hispanic Leaders is offered by the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute (USHLI) to support Hispanic students in their pursuit of higher education. The eligibility criteria for the scholarship are as follows:

• Hispanic Heritage: Applicants must be of Hispanic heritage, which is defined as having ancestry from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Central or South America, or other Spanish-speaking countries.
• Enrollment: Applicants must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited college or university in the United States.
• Academic Achievement: Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
• Financial Need: Applicants must demonstrate financial need, which will be evaluated based on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the applicant’s personal statement.
• Essay: Applicants must submit a personal statement of 500 words or less describing their background, career goals, and how the scholarship will help them achieve those goals.
