The Omega Logan Silva Scholarship offers financially underprivileged women who want to work in the medical field up to $20,000 over four years. Dr. Omega Logan Silva provided honourable and distinguished service to the medical profession. She was a vibrant leader throughout her career and the first female president of both the American Medical Women’s Association and the Howard University Medical Alumni Association. By continuing her support for the growth of women in her chosen area of medicine, this scholarship established in her memory pays tribute to the years of service she provided.
