Eligibility Criteria For East-West Center Graduate Degree Fellowship

The East-West Center Graduate Degree Fellowship is a highly competitive scholarship program that supports outstanding students from the Asia-Pacific region, the United States, and other countries who are pursuing graduate study at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. The eligibility criteria for the fellowship are as follows:

  • The applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of a country in the Asia-Pacific region or the United States.
  • The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • The applicant must have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or its equivalent.
  • The applicant must have a minimum GRE score of 297 (verbal and quantitative) or a minimum GMAT score of 500 (for MBA applicants), taken within the last five years.
  • The applicant must meet the admission requirements of the graduate program to which they are applying at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa.
  • The applicant must demonstrate a commitment to the goals of the East-West Center and be willing to participate actively in its programs and activities.
