About This Scholarship

The Eastern Michigan University Presidential Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship program that recognizes outstanding academic achievement by incoming freshmen at Eastern Michigan University (EMU). The scholarship is awarded to a limited number of students each year and provides full tuition for four years of undergraduate study at EMU.

In addition to full tuition, Presidential Scholars at EMU receive a $500 annual book allowance and are eligible for a variety of other merit-based scholarships and awards. Recipients of the scholarship are also invited to participate in the EMU Honors Program and other academic and leadership opportunities on campus.

The Presidential Scholarship is highly competitive, and not all students who meet the minimum criteria will receive the award. Students who are not selected for the Presidential Scholarship may still be eligible for other scholarships and financial aid programs at EMU.
