Eligibility Criteria For Elks National Foundation Emergency Educational Grants

  • Be a U.S. citizen or legal resident
  • Have had to discontinue their education due to unforeseen financial circumstances, such as the death of a parent or guardian, job loss, or a family medical emergency
  • Be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college or university to complete a degree or certification program
  • Have a record of academic achievement and a strong work ethic

In addition to meeting these eligibility criteria, applicants must also submit a complete application, including a detailed explanation of their financial need and the circumstances that led to their discontinuation of education, as well as documentation to support their application.
