Eligibility Criteria For ESP Rock Guitar Scholarship

The ESP Rock Guitar Scholarship is a program that provides financial assistance to guitar students who are attending Musicians Institute (MI) in Hollywood, California and are pursuing a degree in guitar performance with an emphasis on rock music.

 

To be eligible for the ESP Rock Guitar Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

 

  • Be a current or incoming student at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California.
  • Be pursuing a degree in guitar performance with an emphasis on rock music.
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Be able to demonstrate financial need.

Applicants must also provide the following documentation:

  • Completed application form
  • Transcripts from all high schools or colleges attended by the applicant
  • A personal essay describing their musical background, influences, and career goals
  • A recording of two performances on guitar, one of which must be a solo performance of a rock song
  • Two letters of recommendation, one from a music teacher and one from a personal or professional reference
