About This Scholarship

For people to change their lives and the lives of their communities, access to higher education is essential. However, some people have found it difficult to pay for an advanced degree. Through scholarships, the Featherstone Foundation seeks to reduce the financial burden and achieve academic equity in higher education for students who are underrepresented and underserved historically.

The William & Lanaea C. Featherstone Foundation and Coppin State University declare a strategic alliance that will give students from marginalised communities access to economic and professional prospects. A significant factor that opens doors for disadvantaged communities to achieve economic stability is access to higher education. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foundation increased the scope of its initiatives to combat unemployment and underemployment by offering paid internships, and to encourage first-generation students in pursuing higher education.

Eligibility Criteria For Featherstone HBCU Scholarships at Coppin State University
